Jewelry of Belle Époque

Lalique Museum, Hakone
Finished
From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the Belle Époque was a time when Paris flourished. Art, literature, music, theatre, and many other areas of the arts thrived. The illuminated boulevards were filled with fashionable crowds, and the cafés and cabarets were busy until dawn.
René Lalique was a brilliant jewelry artist during this period of prosperity and peace, which lasted for about 30 years until it ended with the outbreak of World War I. For Lalique, the Belle Époque was a treasure house of ideas that stimulated his creative spirit. Enjoy Lalique's original jewelry from this beautiful era.
