Jean-Michel Folon "Agency of Imaginary Journeys"

Nagoya City Art Museum
Until Mar 23

Artists

Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005) is one of Belgium's leading artists. After his illustrations were published on the covers of famous American magazines such as The New Yorker and Time, he demonstrated his diverse talents and spread his wings and wings around the world.
A world rich in poetry is depicted with soft colors. However, if you look closely, drawn in by the beautiful scenery, you will encounter real-life problems such as environmental destruction and human rights. Folon leaves us with a message, both gentle and stern, to confront this world.
This exhibition will be the first in Japan in 30 years to feature approximately 230 works including drawings, watercolors, posters, sculptures, photographs, objects, and animations. Folon called himself "AGENCE DE VOYAGRS IMAGINAIRES (Imaginary Travel Agency)." Why not embark on an imaginary journey to discover the mysteries and messages he captured in his works?
