Artists

Isshin Tanisaki
Isshin Tanisaki is an artist who visually explores and expresses the movement of energy inherent in life, focusing on the cycle of human existence and the cycle of life. The exhibition's title, "Cycle of Energy," reflects Tanisaki's view of life as a finite process of birth, disappearance, and continuity within the cycle of life.

The diverse swirls with various colors and three-dimensional textures, created by swirling his brush to give movement to the canvas and by mixing or unearthing colors, are described by Tanisaki as "Vortex Painting." These swirls, expressed as images generated by the interaction of life energies, prompt viewers to contemplate the essence of life and the meaning of existence. This exhibition will showcase new works from the Vortex series, first presented at his 2023 solo exhibition "Vortex."
