Ishikawa Modern Literature Museum Outing Exhibition: Comparative Literature Exhibition at the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History

Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History
Finished
"The Ishikawa Modern Literature Museum, located within the Ishikawa Four High School Memorial Cultural Exchange Center, is currently closed for repairs due to the effects of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in Reiwa 6 (2024). Taking a positive view of this closure, we have decided to seize the opportunity to showcase our valuable collection more widely. Thus, we are holding an 'Outing Exhibition' at the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History. This large-scale traveling exhibition from the Ishikawa Modern Literature Museum is the first since its exhibition at the Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro in 1987.

This exhibition is a literary exhibition unique to a comprehensive literary museum, allowing visitors to 'compare' and enjoy the individuality of each writer through their handwritten manuscripts, letters, and everyday items they cherished. In addition to materials from famous authors associated with Ishikawa Prefecture such as Kyoka Izumi, Shusei Tokuda, and Seiho Muro, you can also enjoy unexpected materials such as paintings and crafts that are far from the image of a 'literary museum,' as well as materials that demonstrate the connection between famous authors and Ishikawa featured in textbooks."
