The Gwangju Museum of Art has been organizing annual exhibitions in overseas cities since 2012, to introduce the works of artists based in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do to an international audience and provide opportunities for broad, mutual exchange. This year, in collaboration with the Sakima Art Museum in Okinawa, eight artists from Gwangju and Jeonnam will join forces with six artists from Okinawa to present an exhibition titled "Interwoven Narratives" with the theme of "history and peace."
