Connecting Meiji craftsmanship with contemporary artists, the highly acclaimed exhibition "In the Genes, Taking Marvelous Meiji Craftsmanship Into the Future" returns with even more power. This exhibition, previously held at the museum in 2018, has been enhanced!

This time, alongside the further appreciated Meiji craftsmanship, the exhibition introduces many contemporary artists who work with various materials such as wood carving, lacquer work, metalwork, ceramics, glass, and more.

While inheriting tradition, these contemporary artists create intricate and delicate works with innovative ideas. Visitors can witness these ambitious pieces up close. These visionary works are sure to become the driving force for the future of extraordinary craftsmanship.
