The Italian thinker Franco "Bifo" Berardi points out that even after the pandemic's official end was declared by the WHO in May 2023, the virus's presence remains, and this has brought changes to the collective unconscious.

A significant change in current life compared to pre-pandemic times is manifested in the generalization of remote work and online meetings based on network environments. One of the factors that contributed to and accelerated the adoption of these so-called "new lifestyles" is the concept of social distancing.

Previously, communication technology was conceived and recognized as enabling "telepresence," making distant things feel close and bringing the "far" nearer to "here." However, for those who have experienced the necessity of considering "appropriate" distances due to the concept of social distancing, these technologies, while bringing "far" things closer, also represent the inability to "come closer."

Marshall McLuhan, in 1962, proposed the concept of the "Global Village," suggesting that the dissolution of temporal and spatial distances through communication technology would eliminate disparities in information transmission, making the world seem like one village. This concept became a reality in the internet age, and today, with the development of high-speed, high-capacity communication environments and augmented reality technologies, the perception and conception of reality have also changed. While information can be accessed anytime, the world is also constructed solely from the information provided. Considering the "distance" and "closeness" (and their changes) of various realities in this era of information environments, it is essential to reflect on the elements that will constitute the future collective unconscious. It is important to examine works that reflect the changes in daily life, capturing how daily existence evolves, each through different approaches.
