This exhibition focuses on works that deal with the theme of “home” by eight Japanese and international contemporary artists, including Andro Wekua and Kei Takemura. Based on keywords such as history, memory, identity, place, and family conditions and roles, these works shed light on the meaning of home, nation, and family and the changes and universality of the regions and societies. The exhibition’s title refers to the particular comforts of home, and in viewing the works, viewers are likely to reflect on their own “home sweet home” within the context of bitter social realities.
