Hinako Miyabayashi
Hinako Miyabayashi is an oil painter who utilizes various media, including collages, to convey a distinctive worldview. Engaging in daily drawing as a diary-like practice, Miyabayashi explores the relationship between "drawing" and oneself. Embracing flexibility and humility in the artistic process, avoiding arrogance, and allowing materials to influence expression, the work is characterized by a desire to paint the transient nature of the wind. Capturing fleeting moments and sensations with a focus on the present, the paintings exhibit a quiet yet powerful imagery marked by fewer colors and strokes, influenced by experiences in Berlin. This solo exhibition is a significant milestone for Miyabayashi, featuring newly created pieces since the return from Germany. In conjunction with the exhibition at the Opera City Art Gallery Project N93, more people will have the opportunity to appreciate Miyabayashi's work.
