Hideyasu Moto, held his first solo exhibition at Hidari Zingaro in October 2021 and closed it with great success. It was the first solo exhibition of new original paintings in 23 years since his first solo exhibition in 1998.
This was his first solo exhibition at Kaikai Kiki, but his unique surreal and pop worldview and impressive character designs have attracted the attention of collectors both in Japan and abroad. Around the same time, to broaden the scope of my work, I also started producing oil paintings, and the number of opportunities to exhibit my oil paintings increased steadily.
This exhibition, which will be his second solo exhibition at Hidari Zingaro after two years, consists of oil paintings only. New paintings completed from 2022 to 2023 will be on display.
This exhibition will also present works related to music, such as paintings drawn by artists who operate record labels for records released on their own labels.
