Artists

Shomei Yoh
The landscapes painted by Shomei Yoh are characterized by vast grasslands and expansive skies that fill the canvas. Many of these works are not depictions of specific locations but rather imagined landscapes crafted from his mind. However, some of his paintings are inspired by actual places he has visited and reflected upon. The art book 'Holy Hill' is one such example, themed around Furano in Hokkaido. It beautifully harmonizes Yoh's unique style with the scenery of Furano, resulting in an exquisite collection of works accompanied by poetry.
