Set in Hokkaido and Sakhalin at the end of the Meiji era, the immensely popular manga "Golden Kamuy" by Satoru Noda concluded its serialization in the April 28, 2022 issue of Weekly Young Jump. This large-scale exhibition captures the manga's charm, encompassing adventure, history, culture, cuisine, and hunting.

The exhibition features over 120 illustrations, along with numerous related artifacts such as folk tools that appeared in the story. Visitors can experience the dynamic world of characters like the former soldier Saichi Sugimoto and the Ainu girl Asirpa, following their journey through a recreated space. Previously held in Tokyo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Hakodate, and Sendai, the Niigata venue marks the final stop of the nationwide tour.

Celebrated domestically and internationally as a "Japanese-style dark potluck Western," this exhibition offers a comprehensive immersion into the world of "Golden Kamuy."
