The Pool will be holding an exhibition titled "Error" by Fuminao Suenaga and Katsuhisa Sato from Tuesday, August 13, to Saturday, August 31.
Suenaga extracts visual images from everyday objects to create paintings and sculptures. Recently he has been working on paintings using image references from video games. Katsuhisa Sato, known for his light and richly colorful paintings with varied forms, has produced numerous works that challenge the conventions of traditional painting. This exhibition brings together the works of these two artists, who have each been exploring different practices in painting, to confront each other in the same space. Through the lens of error—something that is considered to be corrected—this exhibition is an attempt to explore new horizons in painting.
