Di-Maccio Art Museum, The Forest of Taiyo
Finished

Artists

René Lalique
René Lalique primarily focused on mass production using molds, but throughout his life, he also created individual pieces using the wax modeling technique. This method, unique to Lalique, applied the casting process used in metal and bronze production to glass. By using wax as the prototype, intricate and complex shapes and patterns could be captured in clay molds. The finished pieces thus acquired a distinctive delicate texture and taste.
