Saul Leiter
Saul Leiter (1923-2013), one of the most sought-after photographers of recent years, was a leading fashion photographer in New York from the 1950s, retiring from the public eye in the 1980s. However, he came into the limelight when he was "rediscovered" in 2006 with the publication of his first book of photographs, "Early Color," in Germany. Dubbed "the pioneer of color photography," Saul Leiter has since become known to people around the world through exhibitions and films.

In New York City, Saul Leiter continued to capture scenes of everyday life from a unique distance with an exceptional sense of form. These days when the world longs for a peaceful life, Saul Leiter's work and words seem to quietly question us about the nature of daily life.

This exhibition will trace Saul Leiter's achievements and explore the source of his creativity through a selection of works from the vast archive of materials managed by the Saul Leiter Foundation, which was established in 2014.
