The Kyoto National Museum’s annual exhibition of Japanese dolls features a variety of hina dolls traditionally displayed for the Doll Festival (Hina Matsuri) on March 3. The exhibits include lavish model palaces that that were popular in the Kansai region, as well as various other dolls (ningyō) made in Kyoto.
