Eiko Ishioka
Designer Eiko Ishioka (1938-2012) achieved worldwide success in diverse fields such as advertising, stage art, and costume design. This exhibition will showcase approximately 500 pieces, ranging from her representative works for Shiseido and the groundbreaking Parco from her early career to her work from the 1960s to the 1980s based in Tokyo, encompassing posters, commercials, graphic arts, and sketches, drawing renewed attention from both domestic and international audiences, ten years after her passing.

This exhibition highlights Ishioka's design philosophy, always aiming for innovative visuals, and her lifelong pursuit of self-expression encapsulated in "I=Myself". This "I=Myself" represents her dedication to self-discipline and the true "power of self" cultivated through open collaboration with others, making her designs truly unique. Ishioka's "I Design," engraved with intense individuality and unwavering passion, continues to resonate deeply within us today, inspiring and stimulating viewers.
