Dwarf, an animation studio known for creating numerous characters like "Domo-kun" and "Komaneko," has garnered both domestic and international acclaim for its outstanding stop-motion animation works. These include the Netflix series "Rilakkuma and Kaoru" and "Rilakkuma and the Amusement Park," the stop-motion period drama pilot film "Hidari" featuring wooden dolls, TV commercials for Zespri's "Kiwi Brothers," stop-motion animation for "Kojikoji," the opening video for the anime "Beastars," and the upcoming Netflix series "Pokemon Concierge," which will be globally released from December 28th.
To commemorate Dwarf's 20th anniversary since its establishment as a solo company by Kyoro Goda in September 2003, an exhibition has been confirmed.
The exhibition will cover Dwarf's two decades of activities, exploring their achievements in feature films, short films, series, advertisements, and more. From reflecting on the past 20 years of captivating people with characters and animation to envisioning the future, the exhibition will provide a comprehensive showcase of Dwarf's charm.
