Dick Bruna
Dick Bruna, known as the creator of the world's favorite picture book character "Miffy", published his first picture book “De Appel" (first edition) in 1953. In 1955, he published “Nijntje (Little Bunny)" (first edition), and throughout his lifetime, he produced more than 120 picture books.

In 2023, a picture book exhibition to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Bruna's picture books will be held. The exhibition will focus on works other than Miffy, including the adventurous bear boy "Boris" series, "Poppy" (Utako-san), a pig inspired by Bruna's children's teachers, "Snuffy" (Kun-kun), a brave dog, and the fairy tale series including “Snow White". And reveal the design work and humor that are common to all of Bruna's picture book creations.
