Chie Aoki
This is Chie Aoki's first solo exhibition at Sokyo Atsumi. Four of Aoki's works, including a large-size work, will be exhibited in the group exhibition "Roppongi Crossing 2022: Come and Go! (March 26), which is being held concurrently at Mori Art Museum. Using lacquer, which she first encountered as a student, Aoki has been creating work that combines figurative human expression with abstract depictions of materials. She also held solo exhibitions at Sokyo (Kyoto) in 2018 and 2021. This exhibition will feature the latest work from her signature series, “Body," as well as the abstract "From Drawing" and drawings.
