MEDEL GALLERY SHU will feature a group exhibition “Character Paintings” from December 6 to December 18, featuring works by Kyaraai, Samehoshi, Manami Higashi, Azusa Nozawa, and Hiromi.
This exhibition focuses on character paintings, an art form that has evolved through manga, anime, and game graphics, showcasing the unique perspectives of each artist. Belonging to the digital-native generation, these artists not only project their identities onto anime and game characters but also see this form of expression as natural and familiar. Their work transcends the boundaries of illustration and art, exploring contemporaneity in painting. Through their creations, we hope to share new perspectives and explore the possibilities of this medium together with you.
