Chan Cho Kiu
Born in Hong Kong in 1990, Chan Cho Kiu graduated from the School of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015 and is currently an artist based in Tokyo.
Chan's work focuses on getting lost, collecting human-made "natural objects," and imagining the invisible threads of all things to reveal the movement and dialogue that lies beneath the surface, primarily through her paintings and mixed media installation works.
This exhibition is an introduction to the research series. Using primarily the "rhythms and textures of everyday life," the work depicts the activity of human consciousness and the moments of transition between absentmindedness and concentration. The Introduction is based on beginnings, repetitions, stays, endings, indoors, and outdoors.
