This exhibition will feature photographs taken by photographer Masaaki Sekiya (1942-2002) of the garden at the Querini Stampalia Foundation and the Brion family tomb in San Vito d'Altivole (Treviso), both works of the Italian architect Carlo Scarpa (1906-78). In addition to these photographs, which express Scarpa's architectural approach that emphasizes spatial perception, materials, colors, and patterns in detail, the exhibition will also include design sketches of the Brion family tomb by Scarpa and photographs of gardens taken in Kyoto in 1969.
