Shuji Terayama Museum
Until May 25

Artists

Shuji Terayama, Masayoshi Sukita
Shuji Terayama, the founder of Tenjo Sajiki theater group, drew inspiration from talented women, incorporating their personas into the work. Influenced by Terayama's mother, themes of maternal bonds permeated the creations of Terayama. Reflecting on post-war societal shifts, the essay highlights women breaking traditional roles, mirroring awareness in art. It serves as a commentary on evolving norms, offering guidance to young women. Accompanying the essay is an exhibition spotlighting Terayama's female influences, captured by photographer Masayoshi Sukita.
