The Matsuoka Museum of Art (Shirokanedai, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is a private museum established in 1975 to exhibit the art collection of Seijiro Matsuoka, a businessman who started his career as a trader in 1917, and whose ideal was to pursue and collect "beautiful things." The exhibition features works depicting beautiful people of all ages and genders, including the elegant beauty paintings of Shoen Uemura, Kiyokata Kaburaki, Kanzan Shimomura, Shinsui Ito, and the French paintings of Marie Laurencin and Kees van Dongen. Some of the exhibited work will be changed mid-exhibition.
