Ayako Suwa has had a studio in the forest of Doshi-mura in Yamanashi Prefecture since 2019, and in 2020, Suwa began creating a work called "Talisman" which is made of bundles of cedar and cypress branches and leaves that were never used in the forest industry. For this exhibition, Suwa and others involved with the forest will create "Talismans" and display them in the Soshin'an Tea House in the Arts Park where the museum is located, inviting visitors to experience the cycle of life. This is a multilayered art project to familiarize visitors with the prefecture's forests through art.
