Gallery TK2 is pleased to present “Abyss,” a solo exhibition by Atsushi Adachi.
Atsushi Adachi has been using printed media from the time when weapons and creatures actually existed, and has been incorporating “memories” into his works based on the concept of “recording memories. The works elaborately created by the artist's hand blend memories of the past with records revived in the present, and emit a unique presence as new objects.
This time, the theme is “kioku,” which people have forgotten and cannot remember, and the artist embodies memories as deep as the ocean, memories that exist at the bottom of the heart, and questions the viewer through the existence of former “memories” that cannot be recalled even if one tries to.
