Atsuki Kikuchi "Graphic in Space"

Ginza Graphic Gallery
Until Feb 1

Artists

Atsuki Kikuchi
ginza graphic gallery’s final exhibition of 2024 is by art director and graphic designer Atsuki Kikuchi.

Kikuchi began working in graphic design while still a sculpture student at Musashino Art University. Constructing his own methodology, he has avidly pursued this career for thirty years. In addition to his well known work on art museum visual identity and signage, and as an art director for fashion brands, he has produced many superb examples of editorial book design. During this period, he has also held many exhibitions, presenting his experimental works to critical acclaim, and has been involved in a broad range of creative work.

Based on this exhibition’s theme of graphics in spaces, he produced three installations that explore the relationship between “spaces on a plane” and “planes in a space.” The result is a visual experience of Atsuki Kikuchi’s graphic design that stimulates our sense of vision and encourages us to actually look.
