The artworks in this exhibition will be enclosed in a capsule and buried under the ground of MOCAF for a long time. Because the artworks are not only for humans but also for post-humans after the Anthropocene.
In 2022, MOCAF organized an Open Call for the exhibition in the context of 3/11, the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. After a selection of thoughtful proposals received from several countries, Metapets by Thomas Vauthier was chosen as the first artwork for Art After Human.
