Aquirax Uno
Continuing to thrive as a renowned illustrator and graphic designer in Japan, Aquirax Uno (1934-) played a significant role in popularizing the terms "illustration" and "illustrator" during the 1960s, consistently leading the era. Despite being a legend, Uno has always embraced evolution. His creative works span a wide range, including illustrations, posters, picture books, books, animated films, paintings, and stage art. Since his debut in the early 1950s, Uno's artistic endeavors have continuously expanded. This exhibition is the largest to date, encompassing Uno's entire body of work from his early days to his latest creations.

Featuring diverse and valuable original drawings and materials, the exhibition showcases Uno's contributions, ranging from corporate advertisements in the 1950s to underground theater posters and children's books from the 1960s, as well as recent paintings themed around haiku and young girls. Explore the enchanting and aesthetic creative world of Aquirax Uno, transcending time and emanating from the spellbinding "Southpaw."
