Aki Nagasaka
Moerenuma Park, as part of the Imaginary Landscapes series, will be hosting artist Aki Nagasaka's solo exhibition "Living with Otherness," based in Hiroshima and Hong Kong.

In this exhibition, Nagasaka will present new works themed around the ecosystem of Hokkaido, which she has been researching since 2020. The Hokkaido ecosystem is intricately woven together by unique geological, meteorological elements, and diverse organisms, coexisting and symbiotically thriving. Through her research, Nagasaka has approached and observed symbolic elements that shape this land, such as giant Mizunara oak trees, red pine forests, volcanoes, lakes, winds, and mists. She incorporates the worldviews inherent in these elements into her imagination, reflecting them into her artistic world. Her work, a tableau of non-human actors, is composed of multiple videos, sound installations, and voice elements. Within the realms of sight, hearing, touch, and their intersections, narratives unfold beyond words.
