A new gallery called Amateur has emerged as a collaboration between Taku Sato, director of the Bakurocho contemporary art gallery Parcel—which blends the characteristics of a commercial gallery and a project space—and H Beauty&Youth. This gallery takes a novel approach by curating the amateur aspects of both fashion and art as key factors.
For Amateur Vol. 5, a group exhibition titled "Acceleration" will be held, featuring works by six artists: Kazuma Ogata, Haruyuki Shirai, Kinjo, Sakie Takasu, Shozo Taniguchi, and Yang02. The exhibition will focus on themes that evoke ideas of acceleration, rotation, dynamism, and speed. The display will include paintings, photographs, ceramics, and more, offering a visually compelling experience.
