The "Chair Museum," featuring masterpieces of designer chairs since its opening, is now taking on the theme of "chairs" from a new perspective, distinct from the conventional design chair exhibitions.

This exhibition focuses on the representation of chairs in artworks primarily from the post-war period to the present day. It introduces approximately 70 two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and video works from both domestic and international artists, unraveling the functions and implications of chairs in the realm of art.

The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama (MOMAS) opened in 1982 in the lush Kita-Urawa Park. The museum displays a collection of outstanding works of art, ranging from foreign masters such as Monet, Chagall, and Picasso to contemporary Japanese artists. The museum also holds special exhibitions with unique themes and introduces many Good Design chairs that visitors can freely sit on.
