In 2022, "Devilman" and "Mazinger Z," both milestones in the world of manga created by manga artist Go Nagai, will celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Devilman" was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 1972. At first glance, the main character's attempt to fight the demons that once inhabited the earth was depicted as a heroic story, but the battle eventually developed into a final war between gods and demons, and the development of the story, which overturned the theory of goodness, had a great impact on those who watched it. The story's influence was also significant, with many of today's creators also being fans, and it had both a tangible and latent impact on the world.

"Mazinger Z" was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1972. Mazinger Z was the first robot work and setting in history in which a person boards and controls a robot equipped with a super-weapon. The battles between the giant robots of Mazinger Z and the mechanical beasts of Dr. Hell, who plans to conquer the world, are fascinating to watch, and the fictional metal "Chogokin Z" that appears in the series is widely known as one of the classic toys.

In the first half of the exhibition, Devilman will be on display, followed by Mazinger Z. Both exhibitions will also feature sequels and derivative works of each title drawn by Go Nagai himself.
