Tsuruoka Art Forum
Finished

Artists

Otmar Gutman
This exhibition commemorates the 40th anniversary of the birth of the clay animation "Pingu" in 1980 and will exhibit approximately 400 valuable materials related to the production of "Pingu," including the original clay dolls, dioramas used in the Swiss studio at the time, and films, as well as original drawings and storyboards that have never been shown in Japan.

The exhibition will also feature rare materials that can only be seen here for the first time, such as Pingu episodes told for the first time based on interviews with Seishi Kato, the only Japanese animator who worked at Pingu Studios at the time.

The exhibition will also feature a special new movie from the 3DCG animation "Pingu in the City" produced in Japan in 2017 and other content will allow parents and children to experience the exciting new world of Pingu.
