The "Bologna Illustrators Exhibition," held in conjunction with the international trade fair "Bologna Children's Book Fair" in Bologna, Italy, showcases trends and future directions in children's books and is known as a gateway for new illustrators. This year, in its 58th edition, the exhibition received 3,520 submissions from 81 countries and regions, with 78 illustrators from 32 countries and regions, including four Japanese artists, being selected. All winning entries will be displayed at this exhibition.
As a special feature, the original illustrations from the new picture book by Andrea Antinori, winner of the 2023 Bologna Ragazzi Award, will be exhibited. Additionally, during the exhibition period, there will be lectures, a series of courses, and workshops related to picture books.
