“Whynot.Tokyo" is a project to plan exhibitions, sell artworks, and introduce activities in collaboration with artists, curators, and researchers of contemporary art in Japan and abroad. This collaboration was realized as a result of the collaboration between What Cafe and the artists. Through the exhibition of approximately 160 works by 29 artists, mostly young, and the art events to be held during the exhibition period, What Cafe will provide an enriching experience where each individuality and different cultural and social backgrounds are respected and humanity is shared. This cross-genre and multi-layered approach will be an experience that brings visitors into contact with the diverse values and expressions transmitted by each of the artists living in the same era. The exhibition is designed to be enjoyable for those who are new to art and those who aspire to become artists.
