The "Distance" photo exhibition by Tomoki Kuwajima will begin on Saturday, August 13.
The work of Tomoki Kuwajima has been featured in magazines, photo books, and advertisements, with a focus on portraiture. In 2020, Kuwajima released "Garyo Gako," the latest in a series of daily photographs of actress Yumi Adachi, the artist's wife. The images depict an ambiguous and fascinating sense of distance that isn't bound by pure physical distance or the relationship as photographer and actress, or husband and wife.
The exhibition is curated by guest curator Takashi Kakishima, director of the gallery Poetic Scape.A total of 57 works will be exhibited on the first and second floors of the gallery.
