Satoshi Utsumi presents his first solo show at Bunkamura. When a painting is installed in a space, viewers are encouraged to move counterclockwise from the entrance of the venue. From this physical movement, Utsumi discerns a similarity to the "Coriolis Force," the law of inertia. In this show, the viewer is guided by the Coriolis effect to the center of the space, where the work in its entirety comes in to view. Like a typhoon whirling to the left, we are led to the paintings.
