Exhibition Pompeii

Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art
Finished
In AD 79, a massive eruption of Mt Vesuvius, near Naples in Italy, caused volcanic matter to engulf the Roman city of Pompeii. Excavation of the buried remains, begun in the eighteenth century, continues today.
