Kenji Sato
Kenji Sato (1978-) has traveled to more than 120 countries around the world, photographing and writing about all kinds of "strange things" from natural history and aesthetic perspectives. In 2010, his photo book "Kikkai Isan" was published with the title coined by Sato, which became an unprecedentedly popular book. The photographs in this book are full of strange things that exist in various parts of the world, such as diverse cultures and architecture, strange landscapes created by nature, and people with strange-looking customs.

This exhibition will display Kenji Sato's masterpiece, "Kikai Heritage," his new book "World" published in 2021, which captures the world from a simple perspective, "Satellite," which shows new possibilities of photographic expression, and new aerial photographs were taken around Nishinomiya City for the museum's exhibition.

The "journey of true discovery is not a search for a landscape that has not yet been seen. It is about finding new eyes with which to see the world." (The exhibition will be on display at the museum.) We hope that this exhibition will provide visitors with a hint for their own journey to discover a new world, as Sato said in the preface to his book "Wonderful Map of The World". Now, let the thrilling photographs lead you on a journey to a world you have not yet seen!
