Art Space Kimura ASK? is pleased to announce the first exhibition of 2021 ASK? Film Festival winner, Shinobu Soejima. Soejima presented his short movie "Blink in the Desert" in 2021, in which the artists puts the focus on the inner feelings and the impurity as a theme. The puppets, animals and insects, recorded frame by frame, express such themes poetically in the work with almost no lines.
"Blink in the Desert" has gained high recognition both in Japan and abroad as it got a special mention at the 68th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. In this exhibition, the short animation movie will be presented as a video installation, which will be a new attempt for the artist.
