Seiichi Horiuchi— The World of Pictures

Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature
Finished

Artists

Seiichi Horiuchi et al.
Seiichi Horiuchi devoted himself to design from his young years and become a leading art director of his time. At the same time, he released his first illustrated book in 1958, and continued to release more afterwards as well. In this exhibition we will focus on his deep connection with writers as well.
Horiuchi was very active in various fields, such as illustration, advertisement and design, where he displayed the power that the pictures and the visuals have. By looking at them we can examine how the culture of illustrated books and magazines evolved in 20th century.
