Museum of Modern Art, Saitama presents a retrospective exhibition of Yasushi Tanaka (1886-1941), a painter born in Iwatsuki. Featuring works from the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, Saitama, and many others, this exhibition looks back on Tanaka's artistic career based on the latest research findings. It also introduces the city of Seattle at the beginning of the 20th century and artists who worked in Paris at the same time. This exhibition is an attempt to reexamine Tanaka's activities across the world from the perspective of today's increasingly globalized and mobile society.
