104Galerie is pleased to announce "Endgeister", an exhibition by the Berlin-based artist Pius Fox, from June 17th (Fri) to July 16th (Sat), 2022.
For Fox this is the the second exhibition at 104Galerie and the first in three years. This time we will present medium and large-scale works, which the artist has been working on in the recent years, along with his small-scale works.
The exhibition is composed of abstract paintings, inspired by ancient mythology and constellations. The title "Endgeister" is a mix between the German words "Entgeistert (Speechless)" and "geister (ghost)". In a rapidly changing world now, and the shocks we experience, the artists's works are filled with the realization that the ancient faces he paints are ghosts. The theme of the exhibition is not only this kind of sense of end of the world, End-geister, but also "the time passing" in past, present and future as well.
