Namonakisanemasa
Primarily based on Twitter, using the account (@sanemasa5x), the nameless Sanemasa has been posting and presenting his work in parallel with exhibitions since 2015. Using his internet persona and his characteristics as an artist as a starting point, he creates work influenced by technologies such as touch panels and SNS.
His work, which is drawn by combining images collected from the Internet, is created in real-time in a situation where depiction and search coexist, and the motifs that form the core of the work are overwritten with related images one after another. The accumulation of information abstracts the screen, and the ghostly ubiquity of deconstructed characters, including unintended ones, becomes a contemporary landscape painting in the Internet age.
The main size of Namonakisanemasa's work is based on the common display ratio of 16:9, and in this exhibition, he will also present a new work of his largest size (486 x 630cm) consisting of 21 panels of the same ratio.
