Moving towards the university's campus relocation in 2023, we have set the start of a discussion that connects education, research and creation in order to explore the question of "the places of wisdom and creation" in a unique way for the university. At Kyoto City University of Arts Art Gallery @KCUA, we have created exhibitions in order to examine and research the materials in the university's collection from a new perspective as part of the relocation program. In 2021, we collaborated with the artist Mamoru in order to "hear the voices" in the archives and examine them. This exhibition will put the focus on the materials and their preservation history, and will be composed of the actual gallery exhibit and a special website. The "some things" that are the physical materials at the gallery space and the immaterial ones on the website, interact with each other, distance from each other, but always transforming, develop a new statement (or maybe a question?).
