Artists

Kenta Kobayashi
Kenta Kobayashi, an up-and-coming artist and photographer who has been attracting attention both in Japan and abroad, has been creating a fast-paced world by digitally editing his photographs of urban landscapes and people, transforming them freely like pulsating organisms.

Since the beginning, Kobayashi has actively spread and multiplied his photographs through zines (self-published photo books), blogs, and SNS, and has constantly renewed the concept of "photography" by presenting photo editing itself as a live performance. At the same time, he has continued to capture portraits of his own daily life and the people around him as he has lived in various communities, and the portraits that form the centerpiece of this exhibition can be considered the starting point of Kobayashi's activities as a photographer.

The portraits that form the core of this exhibition are the starting point of Kobayashi's career as a photographer.
