Shoshazan Engyoji Temple welcomes internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto to bring his world of art to Himeji. This exhibition will feature an installation of "Seated Amitabha Buddha" (National Treasure) and Sugimoto's "Five Elements" in Engyoji Temple Hall, which is normally closed to the public. In addition, the "Noh Climax" video installation by Sugimoto will be featured in Himeji Castle.

AccessFrom JR Himeji Station, take the Shinki bus and get off at Shoshazan Ropeway, take the Ropeway and get off at Sanjo. The venue is 20 minute walk from there.
