39th “Nature of Japan” Photo Contest Prize-winning Work Exhibition

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the contest, which was launched by the Asahi Shimbun in 1983 to commemorate the selection of the “100 Best Natural Areas in Japan to Preserve for the 21st Century". The theme of the contest is “Nature in Japan that we want to protect forever.” In the Print Division, which is open to all printed work, 65 works including the Grand Prize were selected from 5,619 entries. In the Digital Division, which is open to web submissions, 37 works were selected out of 9,108 entries, including the Grand Prize Sony 4K Award and the Sony Next Photographer Award, which is open to entrants under the age of 30.
